Having not quite recovered from the suspenseful first season of TV’s ‘Lost‘, I’ve jumped on another bandwagon. Strangely enough, I don’t own a TV, and thus, don’t watch the idiot box much. Ah… but the wonders of friendship. Kudos to Alvin and Wei for their generous .avi files of the entire season of “Lost: Season 1″, and recently ‘Desperate Housewives‘ – Season 1.
It’s amazing how a cast of beautiful married women can have such affect on a guy. Sheesh. Let me tell you something. I do not watch soaps. Not since ‘Dallas’ and ‘Dynasty’.

Well, hey-ho. Enter ‘Desperate Housewives’. A dark comedy. A primetime soap. Evening entertainment with a twist. Call it what you want. It’s a contemporary look at living “happy ever after”, set in beautiful and serene Wisteria Lane – where the secret lives of housewives aren’t always what they seem.
It’s almost a marriage-life version of ‘Sex in the City’.
The distinct characters, the twisty, mysterious and mostly funny plot, is engaging and entertaining. I’ve never been this addicted since… well, ‘Lost’. I find myself watching 5-6 episodes a night, almost equal to when I was chasing ‘Lost’ answers, and can’t seem to get enough of it. Got a stiffy this morning (and by that, I mean a stiff neck, you naughty fellas!), most probably caused by lack of sleep!
I enjoy the beautiful and klutzy Susan Mayer (played by yummy Teri Hatcher), the ADD-drug addict and mother of 4 monster kids, Lynette (Felicity Huffman), the ‘perfect’ and plastic Bree Van De Kamp (Marcia Cross), the sexy gardener-shagging Gabrielle Solis (Eva Longoria) and the slutty Edie Britt (Nicollette Sheridan).
I am hooked. I tell ya. Well, enough of talk. Back to Wisteria Lane, folks.
“Desperate Housewives” stars Teri Hatcher as Susan Mayer, Felicity Huffman as Lynette Scavo, Marcia Cross as Bree Van De Kamp, Eva Longoria as Gabrielle Solis, Nicollette Sheridan as Edie Britt, Alfre Woodard as Betty Applewhite, Brenda Strong as Mary Alice Young, James Denton as Mike Delfino, Doug Savant as Tom Scavo, Ricardo Antonio Chavira as Carlos Solis, Mark Moses as Paul Young, Richard Burgi as Karl Mayer, Roger Bart as George Williams, Cody Kasch as Zach Young, Andrea Bowen as Jenna Mayer, Shawn Pyfrom as Andrew Van De Kamp, Joy Lauren as Danielle Van De Kamp and Mehcad Brooks as Matthew Applewhite and Jesse Metcalfe as John.

Eva’s damn sexy but Teri does it for me

How on Earth do you have season 2 of Desperate Housewives? It doesn’t start in the US until 23 September.

It’s brilliantly shot, well-acted and has a pretty interesting storyline (wanna know who writes for Realiti? It’s Dzof (for a couple of episodes) and also Ng Ping Ho (who happens to also be the Director of the series. [...]
