Greenpeace, the voice of our beloved earth, is a HUGE fan of Apple. But these green folks, want a better, healthier Apple. A greener one. Fact of the matter is, Apple is still using hazardous substances in some of its products. Greenpeace wants this to stop. Stop using PVC, Apple. Stop the toxic flame retardants. Think of the poor Asian children who end up selling these dismantled parts for money. And introduce a free ‘take-back’ program for old Macs where they are sold. If Dell, HP and other computer manufacturers can remove these toxic substances from their products, so can you.

Love ‘em or hate ‘em (trust me, I’m busting my head thinking of what to love about them), TMNet is the internet broadband provider for the masses. But seriously, how bad is your connection today?
Our 2Mbps connection in the office is crawling. Don’t even get me started on my home connection. It’s been nothing but a moolah-draining, brain-busting, heart-wrecking exercise. For months. Yes, not days. Not weeks. But months.
Is this what Malaysian consumers have to put up with these days? Pay more for less? As the mount of TM hate mail rises uncontrollably, I can all but say, “Do something you twats!”

Ah… guess what? Amidst the gloomy day with a runny nose, sore throat and dry cough, I discovered even more depressing news. I am even further away from my ideal weight than I was a couple of months back. It was all this while in the 86-87 kilo region (ideal weight being 80kilos, for my 6ft 1 frame) but during a preview session with California fitness today, I weighed in at a whopping 90 kilos on the scales. And 25% body fat. Man, I’ve got a lot to lose. Literally. The trainer who evaluated me told me I should get it down to 17%. Ouch. I could almost hear the weighing scale complain.
“Get off, fatso! And lay off the cheese!”
The last time I carried this much lard was in 1998-99. I remembered those flabby days. The good food, the good life. The late nights.
Well, that’s it isn’t it? Getting back in shape is 70% diet and 30% proper training. So there you go. I signed up (reluctantly, whilst my wallet complained grieviously). I’ll be doing a 6 month program to get me down to 80kilos, to be toned and fit and healthy.
Sigh. Wish me luck.
Something’s brewing on the Apple front.
Wondering what it is? Think Hollywood. Think silver screen. Think Pixar. Hmmm…

Pardon me while I sort out the CSS chaos on my new WordPress-based blog. Mind the centralised text and all that unjazzy jazz.
Will look spanking good, I promise!
