Ah… guess what? Amidst the gloomy day with a runny nose, sore throat and dry cough, I discovered even more depressing news. I am even further away from my ideal weight than I was a couple of months back. It was all this while in the 86-87 kilo region (ideal weight being 80kilos, for my 6ft 1 frame) but during a preview session with California fitness today, I weighed in at a whopping 90 kilos on the scales. And 25% body fat. Man, I’ve got a lot to lose. Literally. The trainer who evaluated me told me I should get it down to 17%. Ouch. I could almost hear the weighing scale complain.
“Get off, fatso! And lay off the cheese!”
The last time I carried this much lard was in 1998-99. I remembered those flabby days. The good food, the good life. The late nights.
Well, that’s it isn’t it? Getting back in shape is 70% diet and 30% proper training. So there you go. I signed up (reluctantly, whilst my wallet complained grieviously). I’ll be doing a 6 month program to get me down to 80kilos, to be toned and fit and healthy.
Sigh. Wish me luck.

1.5 down, 8.5 to go! « The v.Blog // October 20, 2006 at 9:17 am
[...] I’m proclaiming this with gusto! I’m 88.5 kilos! I’ve shed 1.5 kilos in a month, through a healthier diet and exercise (thanks to my new membership at the gym and a personal trainer!). I didn’t expect it so soon, but I’m glad I took a chance to weigh in before gym last night. Happy and motivated to do even more now! [...]
